A Few Words About Maverick's Scripts

As you all have noticed by now, I have changed locations! So please take a minute to read this section before continuing any further, if you have already read it, you may continue on.

First a note about a potential problem. I've had some complaints that reading in a .mm file into your MM2K makes your MM2K start acting strangely. This is not a common occurence. But if this does happen, here are the 2 most likely possiblities:
1) The first line in the script is blank, unsure if this happens with MM2k6 but if the first line on a script is blank and is read in by v3.90 then MM might stop processing commands correctly. This requires a shut down and restart of MudMaster.
2) With machines in different languages I've sometimes seen them not like .mm as an extension for script files. This is odd but you can either rename the file as a .txt and when you click "Script->Read Script" type in an asterisk * in the File Name and press enter, this will allow you to see .txt files and read them in. OR you can use the built in command "/read" which is the method I prefer.

I have started converting scripts on here over to MM2k6. If the script is labelled MM2k6 then it is SPECIFIC TO THAT VERSION. MM2k6 contains commands and procedures that MM2k v3.90 does not have. If the script is not labelled MM2k6, you can be confident that it will work on MM2k V3.90. I prefer to make scripts be compatible with the older MM2k version, so just because I have switched to MM2k6 does not mean I will stop making MM2k V3.90 scripts!

Some of these scripts require dll's to function properly, please see my Med & MM Junk section to get them, and read how to install them properly!

To re-install a script, Mud Master 2000 will sometimes write a trigger twice, I don't know why, so to be sure your script works properly if you are trying to upgrade, do a "/killgroup {Group Name}" The group names for each script are provided with the scripts on this site. Group Names are CASE SENSITIVE.

If you wish to remove the script, you can also type "/killgroup {Group Name}" and again, the group names are provided on site with the scripts. Group Names are CASE SENSITIVE.

At last count their were 10 scripts on this page, and more are likely to be added as they are written.

I hope you enjoy the scripts, I know I had fun making them for you!

Everyone please note, I just figured out how to add mouse rollover pictures to the script links, very exciting! So please be patient as the page gets updated for that, not all the mouse rollovers are guaranteed to work, and depending on how far along I am when you check, it might be very few of them (as of 4/30/08).

If you are having trouble saving these scripts to your hard drive, here is what you do, RIGHT-CLICK the link and click "Save Target As.." or "Save Link As..." or "Save Page As..." it'll be something like that. If the mouseover screenshot is in the way, the screenshot will always try to place itself below the link so scroll down to let the link be above it.

Auto Anti-Whisk

This is exactly what it sounds like. Every 200 seconds it sends a carriage return to the Mud. What this means is every 200 seconds Med will think you pressed enter, and also processes that it means your active. This doesn't use any actual Med Commands, so unless your in a buffer, you probably won't even notice it running, and even in the buffer it thinks you pressed enter, so it will go on to the next page. This is in contrast to triggers set to go off when you whisk, those cause you to lose your mount, your Trade Run to leave you behind, and a whole plethera of other problems, this solves those issues.

CommaSpew

All this is, is a way for MM2k V3.90 to add or remove Commas from Numbers. There are two aliases, CommaAddSpew and CommaRemoveSpew which stores the output information in variables of the same name, CommaAddSpew and CommaRemoveSpew. This is mostly a script for SCRIPTERS to use. MM2k6 does not require this type of script as it has @Comma and @DeComma procedures.

MavPaste

Why did I write it? Cause I felt like it *lol* To get this to work, just copy something to your clipboard, then type "paste" then a space, then press ctrl+v, So basically it looks like this:

paste (ctrl+v)

The MM2k6 version also includes the "apaste" command which will allow you to paste whatever full-color copy you have made of the screen. You can do the full-color copy by simply holding down CTRL while you are highlighting text in the Output Window of MM2k6.

MM2k6 Window Name Grabber

Ths script is basically designed as a way for MM2k6 to recognize the name of the window it's setting data too. The reason this is important is sometimes a windows session name ends in .mms like "Maverick.mms" sometimes it just shows as "Maverick". Even under strange conditions two windows might not share that same quality of having the extension on the end. This script simply tests both options, with and without the .mms, and returns the name of the window that it works through. If you are needing to use the /showother command then this script will be your best friend! This script is unique among my scripts in that I really do not care if you take apart the script and use the idea. I generally really despise when people use my work and claim it as their own, however with individuals needing to be taught how to use 2k6's features this script could be invaluable. Use it, abuse it, love it.
